-HERE I CREATE-

The first card model was very simple. Long moderately lit corridor with open lit spaces for the units.

The second card model I wanted to still use the box room effect as if to give a enclosed space. I again wanted to close one side with no windows and have a solid wall which acts as a “barrier” but have the opposite side open for light to enter.

For this model i wanted to have the four walls more enclosed but still having the concept of having the entire north wall "blank" and closed off. Thus giving Western walls the point of entrance for light which = "life".

Tall thick walls on the south and west wall with no windows as silence and quietness is fundamental. He dares not associate with the world outside the walls of his church, therefore I felt that there was a need for them. The north and east walls are open for fenestration to enter, this done mainly to laminate the “units” with natural light. This is where the majority of the units are located.

My last card model I wanted to create the feeling of a “maze” as it represents his life which does not take a direct path, is abstract which can lead to dead ends.

Unit “7” is located in the centre of the house, which in turn acts like the life line of the building as the other units are branched from it. This is his “Room of Light”.

I decided to make the house one storey and close to the ground because this is where he finds himself to be the most comfortable, close to the ground.
